I was struggling with what to give my boys for breakfast and as they are vegan I am always up for a high protein food. My sons have been having Quinoa for breakfast for a good while now and they love all types especially with Mum’s Homemade Almond Milk.
To try it for yourself or your little ones today you will require;
250g Bio Fair Mixed Quinoa seeds
Desired amount of Almond Milk
Method to follow:
Soak the Quinoa for 8 hours or overnight.
(To pre-make your own Almond Milk click on the link.)
Add to a pan and cover with water, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for a further 10 minutes.
Add Quinoa to a bowl and add the Almond Milk to cover.
My kids love it and I am so happy knowing they are eating well.
