Organic Mulled Wine at Home

How fabulously fun! This is such a wonderful party piece and tastes so good. So good!
I had invited my closest over for a good ol’ girlie catch up and after trying my first real cup just weeks before at Riverford Pumpkin Day, I thought it would be a splendid idea to make my own to share with them. So I did!
I am so glad I did, this really is amazing, a little health tweak before the wine was brewed and it turned out delicious. Divine!
I have a slight confession, we enjoyed making it so much that it was all gone before evidence could be gathered for this post but believe me when I say how amazing it was, it definitely happened!
I didn’t get the wine I ideally desired and changed the sugar to Agave but these things had to happen to enable better knowledge in understanding the wisdom.

This is the perfect drink to raise your temperature, its deep and powerful taste overtakes your senses and the heat runs through your veins warming you from within. It is awesome.

Yum! Mulled Wine:

– 1 Bottle Organic Red Wine
– 1 Bag Organic Mulling Spices
– 1/4 Organic Lemon
– 1 tsp Organic Light Agave Syrup

To make your own mulled wine add the wine to a pan and heat on low, add the spice bag, lemon and agave and let it infuse for at least ten minutes.

The wine, mulling spices and lemons all came from Riverford Organic Farms.

This will create a wonderful aroma in your home, it will create warmth in your body and it will help create laughter that will warm your heart.

Here’s to a merry mulling!
Enjoy.

Raw Organic Coconut Rolled Cashew Sweets

Goodness me…how delicious! So sweet and majorly high in fats but oh my I really could have got lost in these were it not for my senses kicking in. To be honest I probably did have one or two too many but once you try them you will be pining for more too!
Healthy and organic rawness comes alive on your tongue when you indulge in these balls.
Now this isn’t so much as a recipe more just a post as these beauties were just thrown together at the calling of my womanhood with no measuring whatsoever and not being complicated at all it is really simple to create your own.
The ingredients are:
* Organic Smooth Cashew Butter
* Organic Desiccated Coconut
* Organic Agave Syrup
I took about 3 large spoonfuls of butter and mixed with about the same amount of coconut and slightly less agave then I continued to slowly add more of each until I reached a consistency where it could be rolled.
After rolling them into balls, as well as could be achieved, I then rolled them around in a plate of the coconut until they were covered.
I then changed the plate and put them in the fridge to set.
I returned around 30 minutes later to find they were nearly solid and upon taking a bite, I discovered they were oh so melt in the mouth.
Uh oh, Mumas found a new vice!
These will definitely be on the dessert list for this weekends antics ๐Ÿ˜€
If you love sweet treats then these are definitely for you!

Organic Orange Zest Cacao Chip – No Cook Cookies

Who says you need an oven to make cookies? Just look at these beautiful babies! These are possibly the yummiest raw snacks I have ever made, so good! Wait until you try them ๐Ÿ˜Š
If you are looking for a way to make delicious cookies that don’t require cooking then you have come to the right place.
I make Almond milk all the time and am forever fussing over what I can create with the pulp, not wanting to waste it. If you have been following this blog you will see all the wonderful snack balls that are possible to make from left over Almond pulp but today I was inspired by a recipe I got through with a delivery of Love and suddenly got the urge to be creative. Also having made the boys Orange shakes I had some Orange pulp to use too. Having absolutely no ingredients from the cookie recipe that came through, bar the Himalayan Sea Salt, I was still determined to finally make some healthy natural organic cookies that rock, so that is exactly what I did!

To make these no cook cookies the ingredients required are:

1 cup Organic Almond Pulp
The pulp from 2 Organic Oranges
1/2 cup Organic Coconut Powder
1 Organic Banana
3 tblsp Raw Organic Cacao Nibs
2/3 tblsp Organic Agave Syrup
3 chopped Organic Figs
1 tsp Organic Aรงai Powder
1 tsp Organic Maca Powder
2 tsp Organic Chia Seeds
1 tsp Organic Orange Zest
A pinch of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

The method is this:

1) Mix together the Almond & Coconut
2) Mash the Banana until it is liquidated
3) Chop the Figs as small as you can
4) Grate the Orange Peel
5) Add all the ingredients together in one bowl and mix thoroughly until it looks as even as you can get it – I used my clean hands
6) Roll it into a large ball then separate it into smaller balls, flatten it out and round into cookie shapes
8) Place into a very cold fridge for at least 2 hours to allow it to set
9) Enjoy!

Last point is crucial!

I really hope this method of making cookies inspires you to indulge in other raw food methods as much as first learning the ways did me. Raw foods have changed my life gifting me useful knowledge to have.

Here’s to health.
