London 420 Cannabis Protest – Speaker’s Corner Hyde Park 2015

front

The Cannabis collective were certainly classing up the joint in the beautiful Hyde Park this weekend.

the crowd
A party took place on Saturday evening in London to embrace the gathering that was to follow. The next day, Sunday from 12pm, “we shall not be moved” was sure to be in the thoughts of many of the people at the London 420 picnic in the beautiful Hyde Park. With further demonstrations to take place, Monday 20th April was indeed set to cause some movement in today’s protest at Parliament before election day this year.

Many of the crowd did sit and stand strong on Sunday, loyal and true as police tried to move supporters out of Hyde Park. During the peaceful picnic yesterday that took place at Speaker’s Corner in London, the Sun’s rays beamed down on thousands of happy people, men, women and children as they set up and gathered in unity around the trees to end the war on drugs…and more specifically, the current crisis concerning Cannabis use. People from all over the world met up to have their say and to raise awareness for the rest of the people who are even just the littlest bit curious.

There were several activist organisations including NORML UK + NORML UK Women’s Alliance, United Patients Alliance, Feed The Birds, and London Cannabis Club, even the London Green Party had flyers on the table, this is just to name a few, that came together to make a huge stand for Cannabis freedom and to help educate the nation on the many health benefits of using Cannabis. The drug is healing people all over the World and time is indeed long over due for the United Kingdom catching up.

The Women’s Alliance

There were various speeches given about cannabis, the organisations and future events, they were informative, a pleasure to listen to, witty and down right speaking of the truth!

Signs of true support

Seeds, stickers, bands, badges, flyers, t-shirts, keyrings and more were on offer to enhance the event and for everyone to gain a greater knowledge of exactly why such a fuss has to be made regarding the laws surrounding Cannabis use.
People showed appreciation for the wonderful plant by firstly igniting a flame within today’s people by initially setting up such a needed event in the UK and sharing the Word. Others helped by hanging up banners, bringing signs with them, dressing up leaf style, even putting on shows later in the day, everyone had a role to act upon that was appreciated by others. This truly was a day of Cannabis freedom. Thank You to All who came.

Cannabis Signs

Raising Cannabis awareness in Hyde Park

Sadly, there was a disgraceful amount of litter left by the crowd again this year, and as the police started to move people out it was apparent just how much. Straight to work went the eco-lovers to clear it all away within 15 minutes, that’s straight up earth love and respect and it shows that we really do care for the common good.

Standing strong and clearing up the mess

The police seemed to be rather interested in all the fuss and even brought along horses and a helicopter as well as the vans. They caused a little bit of a problem whilst man handling a few of the people but that sooned got sorted out appropriately. All in all the law enforcement team didn’t seem to be bothered much and happily watched on as nearly everyone around them lit up throughout the day. Another sign that Cannabis really ought not to be illegal. Can’t be that bad, right?

Various people traveled quite some way to light up in London yesterday.
Many people were over joyed by the fact they could simply ‘skin up’ in a park with no worries.  The organisers did a fabulous job with the event and it was breathtaking to see the vast amount of support received.

There were also dogs among the smoke, seeds and brownies for the birds and squirrels who had a fantastic day too! This just goes to show how harmful Cannabis isn’t, to all kinds of species.

When the time reached 4.20pm there was an uproar that created a beautiful connection between all and the sky above filled with fumes as people united for real change.

4.20pm

Such a peaceful and passion filled day.

The people were gathered through the use of Cannabis well past 7.30pm, even after the event organisers had left. They were just peacefully ‘being’ in the park, chilling and enjoying the sunshine, spending some quality time with friends.

Evening supporters

Evening supporters

All in all it was a successful day in showing that a vast number of people are standing for change on this important matter.

Awareness can only be heightened through the passion of those that truly believe. On Sunday all those that attended spoke together as One.

Why is 420 called 420 and what does it have to do with Cannabis? Find out in this article.

Thanks for taking the time to read here, please check out all the above organisations that are behind this amazing event for further information on this weekends antics, future events and what help you can give in supporting the legalisation of Cannabis and the movement of the followers near you.

Bergamot & Rocket Topped Salad For Lunch

Healthy and organic lunchtime recipe.

After realising the goodness and feeling the health benefits in my digestive system I feel it is still important to have food in the diet which needs chewing therefore I have allocated lunch to being this meal with breakfast as a smoothie and dinner as a soup, with NO snacking in between!
Until Thursday morning whatever I do is my trial period (LOL!). No seriously I simply cannot do this greed and sweet craving bull anymore so with a little help from my friend I have devised a plan and intend to do the best I can to stick to it eliminating everything that is making me unwell including stress. It has become deeply apparent that a huge trigger to me delving into mindless munching is a lack of stress management. I can go from being the happiest doll you ever met with sunshine literally beaming from me looking like I met the man of my dreams and actively living in a beautifully confident way to instantly being drained of all colour and not caring about anything but ingesting sweetness. I can see where the phrase “sweet enough already” comes from, when I don’t feel ‘sweet’ I mindlessly fill up on such foods, seriously screwing myself in the long run! Not the progression I need. Nevertheless I seek change and righteousness with an almighty force from within so I will achieve my goal and here’s the perfect lunch to help me do so…

Organic Lunchtime Salad Recipe

1x handful of Riverford Mixed Salad leaves + a few leaves to top
5x (small) Lettuce Leaves
1/2 Courgette
1/2 Bergamot Lemon
A drizzle of Casa Lucena Olive Oil

Using a bamboo knife, chop the mixed salad and lettuce leaves and combine. Dice the courgette and mix it into the leaves. Squeeze out the lemon into the dish and stir it up. Drizzle over with this delicious oil and toss it all together.
Use a few aesthetically pleasing and colourful leaves to top off the salad for presentation before serving.

Take a seat and a deep breath and slowly enjoy this meal savouring each mouthful (mandatory!).

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this simple little dish.

White Mulberry Leaf Superfood Powder

Magic! This green powder is absolutely amazing providing nutrition content high in zinc, calcium and iron. For someone like myself with abnormally high blood sugar just below the threshold for diabetes this discovery is a dream come true, a true life saviour!

I can say from my experience that this powder really does supress that sugar spike that follows a meal. Usually in the morning I will have a type of seeds and almond milk for breakfast loaded with my superfood powders i.e. Moringa, Cacao, Açai etc. and then after eating a more than required amount of food I will crave another 3 bowls and usually go back for more or something else. It is always a feeling I dislike, one that makes me feel like I am not in control like something inside me wants feeding (parasites/candida?) like I am being overridden and often I end up in tears due to my weak-willed lack of control, looking back in disgust wondering what on earth has happened to me, my guts, my head, my skin! Seriously the amount I can eat isn’t healthy and gets me very depressed and that is why I was so filled with joy to find that adding white mulberry leaf powder to my usual breakfast really works at keeping the sweet cravings down. I can honestly say I have easily managed to say no to going back for more the last few mornings and this was before I read the accompanying leaflet!

These ancient trees have almost been hidden from the UK culture today when in fact they have been used as herbal medicine for a long time. The incredible healing powers of the tree produce medicinal leaves and delicious berries ideal for optimum human health.

If you too are looking for a natural way to control your blood sugars I highly recommend this powder. It has been recommended that Mulberry powder can be added to juices, smoothies or tea for easy consumption or baked into cakes and bread. I have found it works well when added raw mixed into my breakfast. I only use about 1g and it has made a huge difference in keeping the cravings at bay.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the powders immediate effects. It is amazing to finally feel like I have gained a little more control and from such a simple natural method and source. I will definitely be including this green powder regularly into my diet, in moderation of course. Anything (healthy;) to rid myself of the ‘demon’ within!

Drying Herbs – Rosemary

SavedPicture-2015112215428.jpg

Freshly picked Rosemary dried out properly can bring much happiness to one’s life.

Find a bush to pick from and make sure there are others there too so the supply can still thrive, carefully pick some branches off and carry them home. Rinse off with water then soak in ACV or white vinegar for a few minutes then rinse again. Shake the Rosemary well to help it dry quicker. Take some hemp cord and tie it firmly around the branches bunching them together leaving a length of cord to hang it from. Hang it high up in an airy place until it has dried right out and use as needed.

As mentioned in Rosemary Tea Now the health benefitsit gifts are wonderful.

I also carry Rosemary dried in my bag for a quick antiseptic mouth cleanser and Breath Freshener, it is way healthier than chewing gum and it really works!
I adore this herb and luckily for me it is abundant where I live.

This post also connects to The Daily Post Photo Challenge – Shadowed

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me while taking these shots, the Rosemary kept changing shape and size until I realised it was a shadowed effect.

Natural Breath Freshener

SavedPicture-2014123016583.jpg

A wonderful discovery that really works in that time of need!
Fresh or dried Rosemary will completely transform you in under a minute.
Take a small amount of Rosemary and chew on it, move it around the cheeks and across the tongue until the taste in your mouth changes. It can then either be swallowed (preferably) or discarded.

This method is far healthier than and lasts as long as, if not longer than, conventional breath mints or gum.
It is pure and free of dangerous and artificial additives. Simply carry a small amount around with you and it will freshen your breath leaving a great taste.

If you are new to Rosemary or already love it I highly recommend getting yourself a Rosemary Tea. Enjoy

Rosemary Tea Now

Just brewing
How lovely is this Tea!

After Rosemary was highlighted to me by a very dear friend I thought I would go and buy some…if they love it it’s more than likely I will love it too so I thought I’d indulge. Organic of course! Making Tea was the best option so out it came and away I was.
I made a cup for me tonight and  a 3/4 litre jug for the loved ones cold daytime tea drinks for tomorrow, which has been bottled.
From experience I can tell You that this tea improves a poor memory by increasing and stimulating the blood flow to the brain and improving overall circulation. It relieves stomach cramps and headaches and it is said to relieve fever if steeped for longer than 10 minutes. It has helped heal me of my daily IBS symptoms and aids in general digestion. It is proven to have a calming effect on the nervous system and contains various vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, B6 and C and calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and maganese to name a few the herb is rich in. I love that it is antiseptic and I am definitely going to start using it as a surface cleaner too. It smells amazing and picked from nature costs nothing but your time.

Juicies

I just adore the colour! We’ll see how it goes down with the family, hoping this ones a winner!

I love potent things so I used 1 tablespoon of fresh Organic Rosemary(Rosmarinus Officinalis) leaves and twigs and let it steep for 15 mins and wallah how lush is this! Munching on the leaves  between cups is so tasty.

I’m so excited about filling the cupboards with nature and truly living by it. Making food using fresh ingredients, herbal medicines, body, face and hair care products and household products is a great way to direct loose energy and focus on what’s really important.
I am no longer scared by cooking but totally thrilled to gather wonderful things and start creating.
No meat is proving difficult with the fussies but I’m sure I will find some main foods with loads of health in that they will love too.
Recently they love Kiwi’s, Tofu, Mung Bean Fettucine and Black Bean Spaghetti…wow…did I actually just say that!!
That’s awesome but they are refusing nearly everything else, they won’t touch the soysages or seedyburgers, they did not even try my sweet potato chips and last night I had a portobello thrown at me so yep I’m stuck and shying away slightly and again feel like crap about dinners as I don’t know what to buy, make or cook for them as I can’t really afford to waste it trying, better get growing!
As I don’t have much knowledge of foods I’m lost as to what will provide enough nutrients. Unfortunately the lovelies haven’t eaten anything mashy-like since they could feed themselves so all these amazing vegan recipes that I would love I’m not trying because they wont even eat a mashed potato! They did love meat burgers and sausages as they could pick it up. These filled them up and seemed wholesome, not happening with rice and bean sausages though so that went out the window. Tofu and Bean spaghetti it is then! I thought the Mushrooms would be a brilliant substitute as they are chunky but nope! Next!

IMG0708A IMG0726A

Yes the chips were floppy as I rushed them, the screaming was doing its thing, no I didn’t have any oil for the mushrooms and yes the tomatoes were incinerated but hey ho it was creative, fun and omg…mushrooms and avocado…oh yea! At least I know what to do for next time now.

Mmmm this Rosemary tea is my new favourite. Another cup is to be taken upstairs to where w will most enjoy a deliciously oil-rich bath and washing my hair with gold magick 😉

Thank You so very much ❤
